Vision
Statement

Eelo American University strives to be the premier source for
studies in Science,
Computer Science and Information Technology, Nutrition and Food
Science,
Education, Management Science, Social Science, Law and Order,
Allied Health
Science, Engineering, and many Continuous Education programs in
the Horn of Africa region. We at EAU aspire to be a center for
scholarship, creativity, and innovation which develops
appropriate educational programs of high quality in line with
international standards, including those at Bachelor and Masters
level, as the emerging needs of the region dictate
Mission Statement
The principal mission of EAU is to be the leading provider in
the Horn of Africa Region
of a comprehensive education at Bachelor and Masters levels
which meets or excels international standards; an education
which guides students through both theoretical and practical
aspects of their chosen disciplines and provides them with
sufficient

breadth to understand and successfully meet the
challenges of a rapidly changing society while preserving a
focus on their major field of study which will prepare them for
the workforce or post graduate study. Students will benefit from
a curriculum which fully accommodates professional work
experience and is designed to produce graduates who are critical
thinkers, ethical professionals, and life long learners with a
commitment to the local community as well as a global society.
Academy Programs
Education
EAU will start it's programs at different Colleges in several
phases. Phase I - College of Computer Science and Information
Technology, College of Engineering, College of Science, College
of Education and College of Management Science. Phase II -
College of Social Science, College of Nutrition and Food
Science, College of Allied Health Sciences and College of Law.

Besides, EAU will start several Certificate, Diploma and
Associate Degree level programs in Computer Science and
Information Technology, Management Science, Empowerment of Civil
Societies, Law and Order, Human Resource Development and
Governance.
Research
EAU is committed to both basic and applied research with a
special emphasis in areas of strategic importance to the Horn of
Africa Region. It is expected that much of the work produced
within the Colleges should have both local and international
impact. All Colleges of EAU also regard research activities by
both staff and students as being integral parts of the
educational process and aim to provide environments which
maximize these activities by optimizing use of available
resources.
EAU Research Centers – Peace and Conflict Center; HIV/AIDS;
Malaria and TB Center; Environment and Natural Resources Center;
and Culture and Heritage Center. Researchers in all these
Centers are expected to carry out research in close
collaborations with international researchers
